Parish Life

"The social aspect of what it means to be human is revealed in the natural inclination we have to seek social interaction and establish community." "Our Gospel commitment to Christ's Kingdom of love, justice, and mercy always includes advocating and supporting fairness for all.  God calls us to form community and to correct both the symptoms and cause of injustice that rip apart the solidarity of a community."  United States Catholic Catechims for Adults

"Every person has a mother and a father; he recieves help from others and is obliged to help others and to develop his talents for the benefit of all.  Since man is God's 'image', in a certain way he reflects God, who in his depths is not alone but triune (and thus life, love, dialogue, and exchange).  Finally, love is the central commandment for all Christians; through it we profoundly belong together and are fundamentally dependent on one another.  "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Mt 22:39)." This is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit to the Church’s missionary activity. We are called through our Baptism to become missionaries by sharing His Good News and reaching out to our brothers and sisters - hungry not only for food but for the love of Jesus.

Past Events

Sat June 14- 6:30pm   'Party at the Stockton Firehouse' (social event)

A fun time was had by all who attended the Stockton Fire House Night on June 14th, where was plenty of food, fun and music. The children enjoyed a demonstration of how a firefighter suits up, and then they had a great time operating the fire hose. It was another wonderful social event for St. John's families.
